Emergency Card replacement by the next business day

If your Corporate Card is lost or stolen, please report this incident immediately on 1800 732 2566, (9am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, or 1800 737 8188 after hours if you are in Singapore. If travelling overseas, you may contact us at (65) 6732 2566, 9am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday or (65) 6737 8188 after hours.

Upon notification, the nearest American Express Travel Service will issue you with a replacement Card, usually by the next business day at no extra cost. Upon notification, we will accept full responsibility for all unauthorised charges from that point on.

Emergency cheque cashing up to $1,0001

When you need to cash a personal cheque in a hurry, the Corporate Card acts as a valuable form of security. You can cash a personal cheque for up to US$1,000 every 7 days in Singapore and every 21 days overseas at American Express Foreign Exchange Services Offices worldwide.

Global Assistance for medical and legal support in any travel emergency

For legal or medical emergencies while travelling, call our Global Assist service to be put in touch with an English-speaking doctor or lawyer at no additional cost. This service is available 24 hours a day virtually anywhere in the world, whenever you travel more than 200km from your home for up to 90 consecutive days.

Corporate Card security

You are responsible for the safety and security of your Corporate Card and you can help ensure the safety of your Card by:

  • Signing your Corporate Card as soon as you receive it.
  • Always checking that the Corporate Card returned to you after use is your own Card and not someone else’s.
  • Not releasing your Card number to other unauthorised people. If unsure, don’t give out your number.
  • Keeping the magnetic strip on the back of the Card away from loose change, magnetic objects and other cards to avoid it being deactivated.
  • For internet purchases, please ensure that you are accessing a secure site.

Enhanced Security Measures

As part of an industry wide effort to enhance card security, we are implementing additional security measures to provide you with greater peace of mind when you use your American Express® Corporate Card.

From 1 October 2013, you will be required to activate the magnetic stripe on your American Express Corporate Card. This is to enable magnetic stripe transactions at overseas merchants that do not have EMV (chip card) terminals to process payments. Activation of magnetic stripe can be done for a date-specific or for an indefinite period.
